Lance is a multimedia artist, photographer & mechanical engineer. Since 2010, Lance has been working toward building tidal current technology (like underwater wind turbines) to use in the fjords of Southeast Alaska. He lives in Juneau, Alaska, where he is building his company - Sitkana.
As a photographer, Lance likes to work on coastlines. In his first series, Patience, he spent a year on a three-mile stretch of remote Thai beach while he explored how to tell stories through temporary sculptures & long-exposure photography. He is currently living in Alaska working with 4x5" film.
His work incorporates techniques like long exposures, double exposures, and film-rotations, but is created only with light and is left unedited.
He believes it should be seen as it was taken.
